Will the containers that entered when TRV’s gates opened on 18 August be the first to board a ship? Let’s review the details of the containers and ships that have secured a place in history.
The first to pass through TRV’s gate was a 20-foot general container from Nilamel Foods. Government records show their container, brought in early to prepare for the gateway cargo inauguration, passed the port gate on 13 August 2026 at 17:24:27 (IST). Contrary to earlier announcements, the maiden voyage of the first container will be on the MSC Beryl. According to the current Marine Traffic sailing plan, the Beryl, which departed from Mundra port, is expected to arrive at TRV on 29 August 2026 at 04:00 (UTC). It will depart on 30 August and is expected to dock at the port of Valencia in Spain 28 days later, on 26 September 2026. MSC had previously announced that the maiden voyage would be on the MSC Marie Leslie, arriving after the Beryl. This has now been changed.
